I know. I'm not looking to cause any trouble. But the inmate told me about the situation as an example of abuse of power, so I said I'd look into it. At this point, I'm not convinced that's what it was, but I want to do this right. And it wouldn't be right for me to take Yunlan's account and not yours or Tess'. Especially if something was left out or spun in what I was told.
It involved a few more people than Tess and Yunlan, and not all of them are here anymore. I was only involved as her warden. If you aren't asking me this in order to accuse anyone of anything, then what will you do once you feel you have the whole story?
I've only been told about one other, a vampire named Steve. And, I suppose, Pagan, in that their relationship falling through was a catalyst.
Once I'm finished, my plan is to talk with the inmate about what I found out, maybe try to clarify any misunderstandings. Then wash my hands of it and move on. From my understanding of what happened, although it's been... educational in some of the finer aspects of how things are handled here, I feel like I've stuck my foot into something that isn't actually any of my business.
But since I was first under the impression there was an abuse of power, I thought it was worth investigating. And I don't really regret that decision. Better to look into it than to brush off the inmate's concern. Still, I don't expect I'll feel the need to do anything further than this.
Good. Because it's ancient history as far as I'm concerned, and I don't think Tess wants to get back into that mess either. He shouldn't have hurt her, and she likely made some mistakes as well. That's it.
I'd like to talk to her about it, all the same. Both to be thorough and to be fair. I'd do it over text unless she wanted something else. Would you ask her if she'd be willing to speak to me about it?

Why are you looking into that? It's been months.
Great way to show you're not at all invested in this!

I'll ask her. But don't get your hopes up, pal.
